One of our upper crash bars’ biggest advantage is the non-floating design. To achieve this, we’ve developed a heavy-duty bracket to support the upper section of the crash bars, thus the structure is reinforced to avoid flexing and collapsing during impact of a crash. Furthermore, we reduced the additional weight by using the same 22mm diameter tubing as the KTM factory crash bars, as opposed to other manufacturers who use 25 or even 27mm diameter tubing without proper support, such as the Outback Motortek signature bracket system.
Please note: your KTM 1090 / 1190 / 1290 Adventure R / S – Upper Crash Bars must be equipped with factory KTM lower crash bars to complete the fitment of our upper crash bars.

- Hand MIG welded – It’s all about the strength! We continue to follow our philosophy: toughness and functionality over appearance. Although our welders make those welds look like art.
- 22mm steel tube with 2mm wall thickness – Matches the specs of the specs of the factory KTM crash bars
- Less is often more – One of our goals was to preserve the low center of gravity feature of the KTM 1090 / 1190 / 1290 Adventure R / S – Upper Crash Bars by using the same tubing diameter as the KTM factory crash bars. Many other manufacturers use 25mm and even 27mm tubing to protect the upper part of your KTM but it adds up to 1-1.5kg extra, thus making it top heavier while not guaranteeing better impact absorption.
- Tough mounting points – No cutting corners here (either)! Precision laser cut pieces for perfect fitment using 5mm thick metal mounts. These parts absorb a lot of impacts from crashes, rather than your bikes chassis that”s worth thousands of dollars/Euros.
- Powder coated – combined with sandblasting it’s a killer combination to protect your product’s surface. No frills and tough just like your ADV/Dual Sport bike!
Compatibility:
KTM 1090R/1290R: 2017-2020 | Can also be mounted on the S models, if equipped with the OEM lower crash bars.
KTM 1190 Adventure: 2015-2016 models only. Earlier 1190 models have their original KTM crash bars located about 25mm/1” lower and those are not compatible with our upper crash bars.

A universal black, lockable tool box. Designed to fit and keep all your tools in one place, strategically mounted on the (exhaust opposite side) inner part of our pannier racks. You can also mount it on the outer side or even on our rear luggage rack, if you prefer to do so, according to your own needs and luggage setup.
The Tool Box is compatible with ALL Outback Motortek pannier racks and comes ready to be installed.*

X-Bracket platform for Outback Motortek Standard Pannier racks
Built from a strong sheet of aluminium, the X-Bracket is a mounting platform for our Standard Pannier racks. It is designed to be used as a base in order to mount a variety of accessories, including but not restricted to, a 1 gallon ‘Rotopax’ (or similar) fuel/water canister, our Tool Box, a First Aid kit, etc.*
The sliding X-Bracket can be mounted in the centre of the pannier racks or close to either edge, allowing the mounting of accessories on the outside as well. Shifted all the way forward or backward, it'll make room for strapping a smaller 6-10L bag next to it.
*Fuel canister and other mentioned accessories are not included in the purchase.

I bought the bars after seeing a review online. I like the protection that they offer and I think the design is the best out there. 5 stars for protection and design. That being said the bars shipped with 2 bolts too short( the review I saw online also noted this so I was prepared). The power coat is my main complaint. The color is off and where the logos where placed the power coat is damaged. I plan on getting them redone in the correct color after this riding season( I’m going to drop the bike a few times, I’m sure). I also could not contact the customer service department of Outback Moto so that was a little disappointing. That been said these bars are what I was looking in the end.
