Stator and clutch case cover protection for Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. One of the first things that gets exposed to potential damage in the event of a crash is your Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin’s engine (case), thus proper protection is a must.
Only compatible with Outback Motortek CRF1000L Africa Twin crash bars which are sold separately. Confirmed to be compatible with Outback Motortek and Honda OEM CRF1000L Africa Twin skid plates. Not compatible with CRF1000L2 Adventure Sports OEM skid plate.
Same engine guards for both transmission models (DCT and Manual).

Description
Right off the bat, you can see that it’s more than just an engine guard. The 27mm diameter reinforcement bar ties the engine guard and the crash bars together, increasing the strength of the overall system. This design allows for even large impacts to be distributed throughout the entire system, minimizing damage to the bike’s engine, frame and other vital components.
The engine guards are secured entirely onto the frame using 4 and 5mm steel tabs, knowing that the engine cases are the most exposed in all tip-overs, we designed these for maximum strength.
Overall:
- Engine Case Protection – entirely frame mounted, thus the fragile engine is not exposed to forces transferred to it due to crash impact
- Crash Bars Reinforcement – the engine guard is tied into the crash bars through a reinforcement bar.
- 27mm diameter tubing – handles the weight of the bike under impact (crash)
- Sandblasted and powder coated surface – simple and tough coating that lasts
Compatibility:
Engine Case Guard: 2016 / 2017 / 2018 / 2019 standard and 2018 / 2019 Adventure Sports. One engine guards for all models. Only specify transmission type (DCT or Manual) on webpage. NOT compatible with DCT foot shifter pedal.
Compatible with both Standard and Adventure Sports original skid plates ONLY after performing these minor modifications.

Important: Changing air filter in your Africa Twin is a big job that requires plastic fairings removal. With our crash bars mounted, you can still remove or have the plastic fairings removed by your dealer’s mechanic for air filter change.
