The Outback Motortek X-Frames for the Honda CB500X are the most universal and functional side pannier frames yet, allowing simple, secure mounting of hard panniers and soft luggage.
Total width of the asymmetrical pannier racks mounted: 495mm. Compatible with our Rear Rack.
Exhaust heat shield is included (compatible only with 2019+ models).
Important note: Although we offer an exhaust heat shield for CB500X models, the main purpose of it is to keep bags coming in contact with the muffler. We cannot guarantee that heat coming off of the exhaust gas will be prevented by the heat shield. We suggest that you protect your soft panniers from melting while we’re working on a complete heat protection package.

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear about your melted soft panniers. There’s a list of soft pannier brands and models we can confirm the compatibility with. PVC type soft panniers, such as Nelson Rigg, Giant Loop, Wolfman etc. are not compatible due to their lack of heat resistance.

Rated 5 out of 5
After a lot of research, I decided that these racks was what I needed. I was not disappointed. They are very well made and are very sturdy. I mounted a set of Rigg Gear soft panniers and they fit perfectly. HOWEVER. I installed the heat shield for the muffler rode 300 miles and melted the bottom corner of the pannier. I made my own exhaust diverter with a 1 inch cooper 45 from the hardware store painted black. Held in place with JB weld. Still love the racks but really bumbed about my pannier.
